Software Development
Bespoke applications for processes that off-the-shelf software cannot fit. Discovery, build, integration and long-term support — with the code in your repository from day one.
Software engineered for ownership

We build bespoke applications for processes that off-the-shelf software cannot fit — and we improve existing systems where a full rewrite is not warranted. Whether the work is a new platform, an integration, or targeted change to something you already run, the engagement covers discovery through to support.
Architecture and technology are selected against operating requirements: expected lifespan, integration constraints, security obligations, load, and whether your team can maintain the result. The source code sits in your repository from day one, and infrastructure runs in accounts you own.
Where the system already exists, see application modernization.
What you actually get
- A discovery output you own — problem statement, current-process map, scoped feature set with explicit exclusions, technical approach with the alternatives considered, named risks with owners, and a phased estimate with its assumptions written down.
- Working software demonstrated at every milestone, running — not described in a status report.
- Source code in your repository from day one, deployed to infrastructure in accounts you own.
- Documentation as a deliverable in every milestone, rather than a final-phase promise.
- A named team, with continuity protected in the contract.
How we engage
The engagement model is a risk-allocation decision, not a pricing preference:
- Fixed scope, fixed price — when requirements are genuinely stable and you can write the acceptance criteria today.
- Dedicated team — when priorities evolve and accumulated domain knowledge compounds.
- Staff augmentation — when you already have engineering management and need a specific capability.
We will tell you which one fits, including when the honest answer is a smaller engagement than you asked about.
Common questions
Can you work with our existing codebase?
Yes. We start with a short assessment covering structure, test coverage, dependency health and the riskiest areas, then agree what to change and in what order. We will tell you if a rewrite is genuinely warranted — and more often, that it is not.
What happens if we stop the engagement early?
You already own everything. IP is assigned on creation, the code is in your repository, and handover terms are agreed at the start rather than negotiated during a breakdown.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, before any detailed discussion of your systems or data.
Who maintains it afterwards?
Either your team, with a proper handover and documentation, or ours under a support arrangement with defined response commitments. Both are fine; the important thing is deciding before launch, not after.
