For the purposes of data protection law, we are the data controller for information collected through this website.

What we collect, and why

Information you give us directly

When you submit our contact form, we collect the name, email address, indicative budget, subject and message you provide. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and, if it leads to work, to administer that relationship.

Our lawful basis is your consent when you choose to contact us, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. If you email or call us directly, we hold that correspondence on the same basis.

Information collected automatically

We use analytics and security tooling that collects technical information about your visit. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, the pages you view, and approximate location derived from your IP address.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interest — understanding how the site is used, and protecting it from abuse.

Third parties that process data on our behalf

We do not sell your personal information. We do use the following services, each of which may process data as part of operating this site:

  • Google Analytics — site usage measurement. Google may process this data outside your country. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • Google reCAPTCHA — protects our forms and login from automated abuse. It collects device and behavioural signals and is subject to Google’s privacy policy and terms.
  • Jetpack / Automattic — site statistics and security monitoring. See Automattic’s privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare — content delivery and protection against malicious traffic.
  • Akismet — filters automated spam submissions, which involves checking submitted content.
  • Our hosting provider — stores the site and its server logs.

We also record failed login attempts, including the originating IP address, to protect the site against brute-force attacks.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses them for essential functionality (such as keeping you logged in if you have an account), for analytics, and for the security tooling described above.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working. Blocking analytics cookies has no effect on your ability to use the site.

How long we keep information

  • Enquiries — retained while we are in contact and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can pick up the conversation if you return. Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted once they are no longer relevant.
  • Client records — retained for the duration of the engagement and afterwards for as long as we are required to keep business records.
  • Analytics data — retained according to the retention period configured in the analytics platform.
  • Security logs — retained for a short period sufficient to investigate incidents.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Object to or restrict how we process it
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis we rely on

To exercise any of these, email contact@anawaz.com. We will respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else.

If you are in the UK or the EEA and are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to your national supervisory authority.

International transfers

We operate from Pakistan, and some of the services listed above process data in other countries, including the United States. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS with HSTS. We apply access controls, rate limiting and monitoring, and we keep the platform and its components updated. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the protection of your information seriously and would notify you and any relevant authority if a breach affected your personal data.

Children

This site is intended for business users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
